When last we met, darlings, I’d attained the lofty label of Book Snob. Well, this month was banner in terms of print books read. I am burning up my holds at library, and soon will either have to pay to put titles on hold or *gasp* rouse my lazy butt and go to other branches. Yeah, that probably won’t happen. Maybe my nice librarians will take pity on me again this year, and bump up my free holds.
Grand total to date: 38! Which means that I am – wait for it – a Real Book Aficionado! I like that. Although I think it means that, yes, I tend to ignore my family in favour of a good read. Which, let’s be honest, I do. Who’s with me here?
This month’s real books and reviews. As you’ll see, a few winners but definitely several duds.
Quesadillas by Juan Pablo Villalobos
Goddess of Spring by P.C. Cast
Hades Daughter by Sara Douglass
Allegiant by Veronica Roth
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling
Gods’ Concubine by Sara Douglass
Darkwitch Rising by Sara Douglass
The Innocent Sleep by Karen Perry
Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

That’s it for this month. Any thoughts on which books I should pick up for May? Bring on those reading suggestions!
